Around Rockwood
Brassua Lake Camps is a sportsman's paradise and/or a great relaxing destination for any busy family. In the summer the lake is great for recreating on or in the water or just relaxing on the shore. Brassua is one of the top ten largest lakes in the state, but also one of the most private. Making it perfect for water recreation and also great for a quiet, peaceful get away. Evenings at the camps are perfect for making s'mores while watching the beautiful sunsets, whether you are renting a cabin or one of the campsites.
Fall brings in crisp cool evenings and the area is a hub of hunting activity. Located just off ATV trails and on the fringes of the 3.5 million acre North Maine Woods. The area includes some of the best bear, moose, deer, partridge and duck hunting in the state.
In the winter enjoy the convenience of being right on the route 66 snowmobile trail. Brassua also offers great ice fishing or enjoy a game of ice hockey with the family. We also offer snowshoe trails and a great place to cross country ski.
